It feels like summer and I am cycling in the dunes wearing a thin T-shirt. I am on my way to a bird event for bird-lovers. Men and women who have huge binoculars to observe all the birds on the island. This is normally not for me, the birds in our garden are enough and I don’t need binoculars to see them.
All the birds fly away, and I flee as well.
Why did I go then? Well, I went to see “Woody Woodpecker” who makes beautiful animals out of wood using a chain saw. When he does his thing you should stay out of the way, unless you have ear plugs in, so much noise! All the birds fly away, and I flee as well.
On my way home I had a laugh! Have you ever seen a meadow with pink sheep and lambs? It is normal for farmers to mark their sheep with dye, but this farmer must have used the watercolour version. It had been raining for a couple of days and all the paint was run through, creating pink sheep. An original surprise for the tourists.
At home I immediately knew what I was going to do. I dyed and plied some wool. The result is a box full of gorgious balls of wool!
